A quick post and a personal milestone

I finally finished writing my first short story since...30 years? Yeah, that's right, I haven't done any serious writing since high school. But that's over now. I just finished a short story named "Big Family". Next step? It's off to the library to look up the ole Writer's Market book. I don't know if anyone will actually buy it, I don't know if I'll ever make a real living as a writer but I don't care. I'm done with being just a wage slave. I'll still have to go to an office somewhere to put food on our table and a roof over our heads, but from now on I am not an IT geek. I am a writer.
